Concrete Rose
by Angie Thomas

Wow! Just wow! Angie Thomas knows Maverick and she lets us in on a complicated, messy, prequel to The Hate U Give. Audiobook highly recommended!

The Moonflower Murders
by Anthony Horowitz

Horowitz uses the mystery within a mystery to great advantage. I think his plotting is excellent, and while I solved the Pund mystery, I did not solve the other.

I recommend this book very much! If you have read The Hate U Give, this is a must read.

The Stranger Diaries
by Elly Griffiths

This multiple narrator mystery won the Edgar Award and I understand why. Suspenseful, spooky, well plotted with enough red herrings.

The Last Mrs. Summers
by Rhys Bowen

The latest "Royal Spyness" mystery by Rhys Bowen, does not disappoint. This is the author's nod to DuMaurier's "Rebecca", and Bowen hits all the right atmospheric notes. Georgie is delightful and Darcy dashing as always. Can't wait for the next book in this lighthearted series!
